The Life of CS Lewis:  Lessons from an inconsolable soul

Confused by Scripture?  Lost between ideas?  Need more assurance?

"...Jesus replied, "You are in error because you do not know the Scriptures or the power of God."

-Mathew 22:29

"The Fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding."

-Proverbs 9:10

We are called to search and examine (Acts 17:11) the scriptures of the Bible in order to seek the Truth of God's work in our own lives.  Our weekly Monday Night Bible study provides an awesome platform for spiritual growth and fellowship

...but sometimes we just need more...

What TT is:

-First and foremost we approach every topic with reverence in our hearts for the purity of godliness, and recognize that we are an imperfect creation saved by a perfect creator.

-A relaxed hangout, with open topics of discussion

-An opportunity to present a topic to the group on your heart

-A safe environment for hard questions and opinions

-An effort to advance our knowledge of God, and thus our lives

What TT is not:

-A place for arrogant discussion

-A place to hit each other with theology books (figuratively is acceptable, not literally)

Theology Thursday does not meet every Thursday of the week, but only as planned and scheduled..For now...  The meetings will typically be at a member's house/apartment/basement instead of our regular meetings at a church.  Meetings can include a video clip, a scripture, a scriptural topic, a world view, or anything else that will help us leave with a better understanding of who our Great King is.

"...In other words, Theology is practical: especially now. In the old days, when there was less education and discussion, perhaps it was possible to get on with a very few simple ideas about God. But it is not so now. Everyone reads, everyone hears things discussed. Consequently, if you do not listen to Theology, that will not mean that you have no ideas about God. It will mean that you have a lot of wrong ones - bad, muddled, out-of-date ideas. For a great many of the ideas about God which are trotted out as novelties to-day are simply the ones which real Theologians tried centuries ago and rejected..."

-CS Lewis, Mere Christianity
